Scouring LinkedIn

I have been scouring LinkedIn more than I usually do for the last week. I have always heard it’s great for networking, but I am just starting to learn what that means. Beyond “connecting” to everyone you know like Facebook, there is a lot of useful information available. Groups relevant to your major, industry, or WPI have all this knowledge they are trying to share.
I personally am quite interested in alternative and renewable energy; so i looked at groups regarding these subjects. They have all these resources and articles about innovative green technology. There are groups to keep in touch of Alumni from WPI or you’re Fraternities/Sororities. Lastly, there are also groups that merely display job opportunities. It’s something you want to become a part of!
