GE Day and Resumazing

Last week I began taking advantage of more of the Career Development Center’s events. Having been to only one before I didn’t realize how interactive and helpful they can be.

On Wednesday of last week I talked to General Electric on GE Day at WPI! I didn’t know what to expect, I barley had time to walk up to them while they were by the fountain. I saw an alumni that I knew and walked up to the table, I got to speak to another recruiter, and she told me about the opportunities for environmental engineers that are coming up for next summer. She got me interested and I hope to be able to apply before the Career Fair Wednesday!

The following day on Thursday I went to Resumazing and got my resume critiqued for a second time this term. The CDC did a great job because there wasn’t a lot he suggested for me to change, but he was able to tell me about the types of things he would look at if he were to look at a resume.
