Information Session Opportunities

Last week, I had an opportunity to attend an on campus company information session! This company is definitely one of my favorite ECE companies. The information session was really relaxed and I recognized just about every student who attended the information session. That really tight community comes from being an ECE major. Aside from the familiar faces and the cool company projects, I think the most exciting thing is that the company representatives were both alumni!

After hearing about all the opportunities available from the company, getting really excited about the company, eating pizza and even getting interview tips, I had a chance to talk to the employers, one on one. The two alumni were really approachable. They shared their experiences at WPI and the work place with me. They really made it sound like our WPI backgrounds really give us an edge in the workplace. After our conversation, one of the employers asked for my RESUME!

(Of course, I had like 10 with me) He was really impressed and that night, he only walked away with two resumes from students! I was so excited that my resume was one of two resumes. Sadly, the employer did not have any business cards with him. I am not worried about that at all. Overall, attending an information session is always awesome.

I strongly recommend checking some out! Log on to your Job Finder, click the events tab and look at the upcoming information sessions. You can add them directly to your outlook calendars.
