Worried that it is Too Late to Land an Internship? Well, Think Again!

Filed in From the Staff by on April 8, 2015

Hey Everyone,

Happy job hunting!! I just wanted to let all of you know about an awesome opportunity that came across me and probably the rest of you, the Worcester Region Career Fair! You can find all related information here: Worcester Career Fair

This is the perfect chance for all of you still searching for an internship, full time position, or wanting to increase your network and meet new people. This is a free career fair and it is tomorrow, Thursday, April 9th from 3 – 6 pm at the Worcester Regional Airport college students from nearby universities.

Worcester Regional Airport is too far away and I don’t have a car. Is there any hope for me?

The best part about this is that there will be a FREE SHUTTLE being provided to transport WPI students to and from the fair (both will happen at the Higgins Laboratories circle, and that too multiple trips, not just one there and one back).

What should I bring?

This event will be very similar to the WPI Fall, Spring, and Life Sciences Career Fairs. So make sure to do research in advance on what companies are hiring and which ones you would like to talk to (all that information can be found on the website linked above). Also, definitely dress professionally, bring plenty of resumes to pass out, and your WPI ID.

There are also fun door prizes that they will be handing out, free food sampling from local restaurants, as well as two grand prizes!

As a final piece of advice, practice your elevator pitch before hand as a way to introduce yourself to employers, and make sure to ask for employers’ business cards so then after the fair, you can send them thank you notes!

Thanks for reading and good luck with the job hunting!!
