What’s the most stressful part of the career fair? Is it scrambling to find a nice outfit and dress up? Is it trying to navigate the loud, crowded rec center? Perhaps getting over the nerves of having to remember and deliver an elevator pitch to sell your skills and experiences? If you want all of the networking and job search opportunities without any of the hassle, why not go

Just kidding. Although you can’t job search with your VR headset (yet), you can check out a Brazen Virtual Career Fair put on by the CDC! Virtual career fairs are a great way to make connections with employers from the comfort of your own home. Held through Brazen, an online platform, you can chat with recruiters and engineers from interested companies in the same way you would at an in-person fair. Prepare and type out an elevator pitch to start each interaction, and keep your resume open in another window so you can quickly reference your skills and experiences throughout your conversation.

Thursday, April 5th is the Start-Up, Fast Growth, and Emerging Technology Virtual Fair from 12 – 3 pm. If you’re interested in learning more, check out the event and expand your network!
