Break’s over and it’s back to school.

So I’m actually fairly happy with my job search progress over winter break. Although I feel like I could have always done just a little bit more, I did get some significant things acomplished; I contacted friends, family, neighbors and sorority sisters asking them to help pass my resume along in their company, and applied to a number of job postings through Job Finder and other websites like Indeed.com. I also went on a Job Shadow; It was interesting to see what another company and industry was like so I could compare it to my internship last summer. Although I think I have an idea of where I want to be, seeing things first hand is always eye opening. Plus, the guy I was job shadowing had some good advice, and although his career didn’t lign up exactly with what I wanted to do, he was able to connect me with someone else in his company who’s job is closer along the lines of what I want to do. She sent me an email and offered to chat with me on the phone so I’m pretty excited about the networking opportunity. But now it’s back to school. Let’s hope that I can keep up all the good job search progress. 🙂
