Started From the Bottom Now We’re Here
YO WASSSUPPPPPPPP?
I am glad to be back! This is my senior year!!! That means really cool classes, really cool project (MQP = Major Qualifying Project), one more year as a RA (Resident Advisor), and one more year over at the CDC (Career Development Center).
It blows my mind that I already completed most of my undergraduate experience….
I remember my teachers back in high school saying things like “in high school you’re the big fish in the little pond but once you’re in college you’ll be the big fish in the huge pond and have to start all over again” So now being a senior I am like I guess I’m now the huge fish in the huge pond? But then again I am pretty much the same exact size just my hair is bigger so maybe I’m still just a big fish in a huge pond? I dont even like fish… except for Finding Nemo so I never really was comfortable with that whole metaphor.
Anyway speaking of getting comfortable, that’s what I am here for. Over at the CDC it is my job to help students get comfortable and familiar with our services. I got a really sweet job title called Senior Peer Advisor. I get to help you with anything from choosing a major to finding a job. I have been at WPI for a really long time and I have had a lot of great help so I know the answer to most questions that come up and If I don’t know the answer, I prob can help you find the right answer. I get really excited over this stuff so if you have any questions please please please don’t hesitate to ask.
I plan on pumping out a blog every week so I will try to keep em short but helpful. I plan on keeping you up to date on all the steps along my senior year journey, you know all that stuff about MQP, Graduating and of course finding a job! Feel free to share your journey details with me too. Also, I am not the only blogger so if you’re really looking to get your fix on CDC blogs stop by Ahmad, Emily and Anyone else from the CDC pages for more insight and other experiences.
Anyway,
Thanks for stoppin’ by
