Ahmad

Hi everyone,

My name is Ahmad. I'm a senior studying Mechanical Engineering. The main thing you should know about me is that I'm kind of weird, and it's fantastic. I like defying people's expectations, and going against social norms. Especially when it comes to careers and personal well being. You say you can't get an internship as a freshmen, I will prove you wrong. They say you can't change your career, I will show you that you can change your career at any point. They say that college is meant to be stressful, and you're supposed to just go with the motions. They say college is the best time of your life, well I beg to differ. The best time of my life should be my last.

If there's any topic you want me to talk about feel free to send me an email at aa@wpi.edu (I know it's an awesome email).

Procrastination is Golden!

It’s finals week! Again 🙁 ! It sometimes feels as if everything wrong happens all in the same week. You have finals, you realize you don’t have a summer/full time job yet, you realize you haven’t talked to your family in a few weeks and they’re not very happy about it, and everything seems to be falling […]

School and Careers

We’re knee deep in the snow, clenching our fists at professors who’ve given us difficult midterms, and we’re waiting for the employers to come and save us. For some of us this has become a routine that we regretfully can’t really get out of. We go to school to get a job, that’s a fact […]

New Beginnings!

Welcome back everyone! We’re almost a week into C-term, still trying to get back to the school mentality and the lack of sleep from Winter break. The weather is definitely not helping, and it feels like we should be hibernating instead of thinking about school. But unfortunately school is here whether we like it or […]

Laziness and Glory!

I have a confession! I am Lazy! Some of you might be surprised by this, yes I have four jobs on campus, yes I am the president of the MSA and a co-chair for SocComm, yes I write novels in my free time, yes I’m not failing school. Despite all that I am still Lazy! […]

How to find an Internship this Holiday Season!

Since it’s thanksgiving I thought I’d talk about how thankful I am for  one of the best things about WPI, the CDC. Yes I work for the CDC, and yes I get paid for my work there, but that doesn’t change the fact that we have one of the best career centers in the nation. […]

Decide to Decide to Decide

Yes I’m going there, the forbidden topic of making decisions. But I’m not telling you to decide on the spot, the thing college students dread most, I’m telling you to decide to decide. On Monday night there was a program called TLC for sophomores, and Sharon Wulf from the business department gave the closing remarks. […]

Here we go!

We’re a week into B-term, leaves are leaving us behind and we’re all bracing ourselves for a cold winter. Nearly everyone I’ve spoken to complains about how B-term will be worse than A-term, and they’d be ecstatic if B-term ends up just as bad as A-term. I can talk about expectations for hours, but […]
