Our Partners

Our project was shaped by our working relationship with many people. The progress, research and sustainability attained would not be possible if not for the help and dedication of key individuals.

We’d like to thank all the following people who were essential to helping our project develop:

Buyiswa Tonono, Monwabisi Park C-Section Street Committee Leader our project liason and caretaker of the Indlovu Centre. She gave us continued support in any new direction we decided to take the project as well as helped coordinate community co-researchers. Her hospitality and generosity gave us and all other teams a comfortable place to work.

Professors Scott Jiusto and Joseph Petruccelli, Project Advisors for their continued guidance and support throughout our project.

Di Womersley, founder and leader of the Shaster Foundation for providing us the opportunity to work in Monwabisi Park and her valuable insights that helped shape our project.

Staff of False Bay College, Good Hope Campus for being welcoming and informative to our inquiries about financial aid and admissions. We would like to give a special thanks to Douglas, the MOT representative based at False Bay, for meeting with us and helping to push forward MOT expanding to Monwabisi Park.

Community co-researchers: Nodumo, Anele, Phelo, and Siya for everything. Without the link they provided us to the community and their capacity to help all projects move forward and become sustainable, our work here would have been impossible.

Special Thanks to the Herries and Miller families for their contributions which went towards the camera and printer for the community photo shop.
