Mapping with multiple stakeholders in Flamingo Crescent

This step strongly benefited from the transparency among the multiple stakeholders involved. A significant part of the upgrading process that we witness was reblocking. Through this concept, the special arrangement of shacks is optimized to benefit the community in order to implement new public infrastructure.  Throughout the reblocking process, maps must be generated to prepare for the process of rearranging the shacks to allow services such as sewage and water access to be installed.  However, in Flamingo Crescent, mapping became a complex process as it involved multiple stakeholders. The steps we followed are explained below.
