Meet the Team

The Stormwater Team of the 2010 Cape Town Project Center is comprised of four individuals with very diverse backgrounds and interests. Each Stormwater member is a WPI student in his or her junior year of college. During its work in the informal settlement of Monwabisi Park, Khayelitsha the Stormwater team has been affectionately and comically referred to as “The Stormbusters”- an amalgamated name formed by the blended names of the “parapsychologists-turned-ghost capturers” from the 1984 comedy Ghostbusters and of the team’s focus, Stormwater. Through its work the team has demonstrated its continuing strong dynamic and its willingness to work and effect change in the impoverished settlement of Monwabisi Park.
