Case Studies
In order to better understand how drainage systems are implemented in informal settlements, we have analyzed three different case studies. The first study discusses stormwater runoff and flooding issues within the township of Alexandra, South Africa. The second case study explores shortcomings of the City of Porto Alegre, Brazil while implementing a stormwater management plan. Lastly, the consequences of the lack of stormwater management and possible solutions to the problem in Ondo Town, Nigeria are displayed in a third case study.
