Fire Hydrants
In case of fire within the settlement, fire hydrants should be considered within our communal facility. Fire is a huge concern in many informal settlements (Granfone 2008). Most of the past CTPC water and sanitation projects have included fire hydrants in their design (Kenney 2011). A standard fire hydrant hooked up to the main water line will help to keep the cluster safe in case of fire.
