Meet the Team

Meet the WPI Blue Sky Recycling Team:

Steven Como

Steven Como is from Phillipston, Massachusetts and is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is currently the Vice President of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Outside of academics he enjoys playing intramural and club sports, camping, and snowboarding. In Cape Town, Steve likes to spend his time going surfing and hiking.

 

Brendan McKeogh

 

Brendan McKeogh attends Worcester Polytechnic Institute as a junior majoring in chemical engineering. He hopes to use this education to contribute to biofuels research. Outside of academics, Brendan is a track and field athlete for the school and enjoys reading, swimming, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. Cape Town has given Brendan the opportunity to experience a different city and culture far away from his lifelong residence in Worcester.

Archit Parmanand is from Ellington, Connecticut and is a junior studying Biomedical Engineering and Tissue Design at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is the president of Sigma Pi Fraternity and active in greek life on Interfraternity Council. During his free time he likes to read, sleep, and go on adventures. During his stay in Cape Town, Archit has hiked all nearby peaks including Devil’s Peak and Macleor’s Beacon on Table Mountain. His hope is to later explore the sewers and fight off alligators.

 

Kelsey Stergiou

Kelsey Stergiou is from Manchester, New Hampshire and is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Spanish at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She is a Resident Advisor, a Peer Academic Coach, and a member of the Women’s Varsity Crew team. In her free time, she likes to read, take pictures, go running, pick heavy weights up and put them down. In Cape Town she has thoroughly enjoyed adventuring through the city, seeing the incredible landscapes, and eating 24 sushi rolls for less than $7.
